About Me

Like dipping your toes into acid, but in a good way.

My journey into IT in general and coding in particular has been a crooked one. It started when I got sick and could not work for a long time. During this I discovered Linux by installing Lubuntu (a lightweight flavor of Ubuntu) on an old laptop that was just sitting in a corner collecting dust. Thus began what can only be described as an infatuation and I tried several distributions including but not limited to Ubuntu, Manjaro, Arch Linux, Red Hat, Kali and Parrot. This also triggered an increasing interest in programming and I took up Python which I did my best to understand with no prior knowledge about the intricate world that is coding. This also led me to dip my toes into the vast pools of C++, C#, Rust and later on PHP and Javascript. Coupled with some high school courses in server management (and also C++) I started playing around with Linux servers with Linode and a Raspberry Pi. Long story short, if it can be done in a terminal, I think it's fun! And yes, I am sorry-but-not-sorry to say that I like using Vim.
